Samuel Porritt Bio

My name is Samuel Porrit, I am an aspiring sports journalist. I grew up in Perth supporting St. Johnstone and have always had a strong passion for football, whether that was playing, watching or covering it.

This website is dedicated to showcasing the pieces I have written for various different outlets, as well the general media work that I am proudest of.

 

I am currently a media team member for St. Johnstone, having joined the team at the start of the 22/23 season. I started out by covering their youth side, before making the transition to the senior side, and becoming admin of the Tik Tok page. I also regularly contribute pieces for the match day programme

I have also worked with Youth Football Scotland, and Jeanfield Swifts. These roles have helped prepare me for football media. I learned a lot and enhanced my skills, doing everything from match reporting and live tweeting to match filming.

One of my proudest achievements to date, is having match reports published by the Perthshire Advertiser. I have done so on multiple occasions now,  and feel like my reports improve on each occasion.

My main goal is to make it in the field of sports journalism and football media. I am willing to put a lot of time, work and effort into achieving this goal.
